Matt Herneisen is the head coach for the Berks Bruins. Matt has extensive experience in hockey beginning his career playing for the Colonials, Jr. Flyers and Minutemen before leaving home at age 15 in order to pursue a more advanced hockey career. Matt joined the US National Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan before being drafted by the Peterborough Pete's of the OHL (Ontario Hockey League). Matt then turned professional with Trenton Titans of the ECHL, followed by the Dayton Bombers and finally the Reading Royals where he served as team captain and eventually Assistant Coach.
