| Game of the Week Recap:
Conrad Weiser v Exeter
For
the second time this season the Conrad Weiser Scouts and
The Exeter Eagles battled it out on the lacrosse field.
This game was a tail of two half's with the Scouts
coming out of the gate gunning, scoring first, and never
looking back as they ran away with the game 15-3.
Weiser dominated the first half out gaining Exeter in
almost every aspect of the game; ground balls 26-19,
shots 17-8, face-offs 8-5, and goals 11-0. With an 11-0
lead for the Scouts at half one might think that Exeter
would just roll over and sleep walk the second half, but
that was not the case at all. Although there was no
giant come back, the Eagles fought hard never giving up
and played Weiser almost even in the second half.
After giving up 11 first half goals, Exeter’s two stand
out goalies Kyle Frey and Dan Crim combined to give up
just 4 second half goals. Weiser was lead by their two
stand out middies, Corey Elmer and Mike Oliveto, and
their three senior defense men Matt Bray, Kyle Klopfer,
and Jon McDonald. The win brings Weiser’s record to
13-1, 9-0 in county play and the loss drops Exeter’s
record to 12-4, 6-4 in county play.
Great game guys!
